Article: 12/Aug/2010

The purpose of our activity

Various scale of our surroundings from global scale climate to a green spot at a town have an influence each other. We, OpenConcierge are functioning in order to contribute preservation and continuous maintenance of the natural environment. It is the geospatial information technology that one of the most important instrument for such activities.

What is a "Summer School"?

As you can see a car navigation system or a map service on the web, GIS (Geographic Information System) has been a technology of widely used application, so that it is more needful for our lives. The better use of GIS technology, the better our lives might be. And we might find it a key to solve a big issue as well. We hold a summer school in order to widely inform what GIS can do. Instructors who is the member of OpenConcierge is going to give an explanation, mainly open source software in plain terms. Why don't you learn a GIS technology at the Summer School?
